When you select a 3D Model object on a page, the 3D Model contextual tab becomes available.
You can do the following using the 3D Model contextual tab of the Ribbon:
Check if the original 3D Model files are updated
Annotate (Numbering, Alphabetizing, Instance Name or another property, Custom Text)
Create tables from 3D Model’s properties
Create vector paths from 3D Model object
Change the resolution of 3D Model object raster view
After you started creating an EVDOC with 3D Model files, those 3D Model files may be edited by someone. You can check if any 3D Model files were changed externally while you are working on the EVDOC.
Select a 3D Model object in the document.
Click Check 3D Models from the Updates panel in the 3D Model contextual tab of the Ribbon.
When an update or updates are detected, this warning message is displayed.
When no updates are detected, this warning message is displayed.
Click Yes to proceed. Click No to cancel the operation. Save the document, if necessary, and do it again.
When “Auto-detect” found an update, the checkmark (✓) is already shown next to the File Name in the list of the Update 3D Models dialog box.
If you think other 3D Models should have updates, you can select them by specifying Property name to match and/or change the Full file path to check at this time.
Click [Auto] from the Property name to match column of the 3D Model file. Select a property to use from the drop-list.
Click the Full path field of the 3D Model file. Click Browse icon . Navigate to a new location and select the updated file in the Open dialog box. Click Open.
Do step 6 and 7 for all selected 3D Models if necessary.
Click OK.
Set the import options in the Import Options dialog box.
Click OK.
