Creating Vector Object from the 3D Model Object

The 3D Model object placed in the document is a raster view. However, you can create vector objects from it.

To Create a Table from the 3D Model

  1. Select a 3D Model that you want to create its vector paths from.

  2. Select an option from the Type drop-down from the Vectorize panel in the 3D Model contextual tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Select an option from the Quality drop-down list.

  4. Click the Create Vector Paths.

  • Any special effects like Ghost or Transparency will be lost. Only “Technical Flat” mode is supported for this function. “Perspective” camera projection mode is not supported. Thus, a result of this operation may look different from the selected 3D Model object.

  • When a part that consists of multi-colored faces is converted to paths, the result will lose such colorization.

  • The created object is no longer a 3D Model object and does not have the characteristics of it. It is just a group object of vector objects.
