Changing the Page Size and Orientation

You can change the page size and orientation any time you need after you opened an EVDOC.

You can set the page size and orientation on each page.

To Check the Current Page Size

  1. Select a page.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Deselect all in the Page Layout area. Observe the left side of the Status bar.

    • Click the Size drop-down list from the Page Setup panel. You will see the checkmark (✓) at the left side of the current page size.

To Change Page Size

  1. Select a page that you want to change the page size.

  2. Click the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Click the Size drop-down list from the Page Setup panel.

  4. Select another page size.

  5. When the page is linked to the Master Page, the warning message will be displayed. When you change the page size, that Master Page must be also changed.

  6. Click OK to proceed.

To Set a Custom Paper Size

  1. Select a page that you want to change the page size.

  2. Click the Size drop-down list from the Page Setup panel in the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Select More Paper Size.

  4. Type values in the Width and Height edit boxes.

  5. Click OK.

When the width is larger than the height, its orientation is considered as “Landscape”. Otherwise, it is considered as “Portrait”.

 

To Check the Current Page Orientation

  1. Select a page.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Open the Page Navigator pane to check the page thumbnail.

  • Click the Orientation drop-down list from the Page Setup panel. The icon of the current page orientation is highlighted.

To Change Page Orientation

  1. Select a page that you want to change the page orientation.

  2. Click the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Click the Orientation drop-down list from the Page Setup panel.

  4. Select the other page orientation.

  5. When the page is linked to the Master Page, the warning message will be displayed. When you change the page orientation, that Master Page must be also changed.

  6. Click OK to proceed.

When another page is linked to the same Master Page whose page size or orientation will be changed as a result, this warning message will be displayed. Please resolve this issue first.

 

To Set Page Margins

  1. Select a page that you want to change the page margins.

  2. Click the Margins drop-down list from the Page Setup panel in the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Select a preset.

The margins is indicated as a rectangular frame in green.

To Set a Custom Page Margins

  1. Select a page that you want to change the page margins.

  2. Click the Margins drop-down list from the Page Setup panel in the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Select Custom Margins.

  4. Type values in the LeftRightTop, and Bottom edit boxes.

  5. Click OK.

To Show or Hide Margins on Page

Select the Margins checkbox from the Show & Enable panel in the View tab of the Ribbon. Deselect the checkbox to hide margins.

To Set Page Background Color

  1. Select a page that you want to change the background color.

  2. Click Background drop-down list from the Background panel of the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  3. Select an ink.

 

You cannot set a background color on any Master Pages.

 

To Change Number Format on Document

  1. Click Doc Number Format drop-down list from the Page Setup panel in the Layout tab of the Ribbon.

  2. Select one.

This number format affect to display numbers in various places such as object’s dimensions, X/Y coordinates, edit boxes and so on.
