When the Edit 3D Model button is clicked, it switches to the 3D Model edit mode. The 3D Model edit mode provides specific tools to manipulate 3D Model to create a scene or view of the loaded 3D Model.
The graphical user interface (GUI) of the 3D Model edit mode consists of several sections. This is the default look.

1 | Title bar | You can undo the operation that you performed. You can also minimize or close the window. |
2 | Ribbon | Provides 3D Model edit tools in the 2 tabs: 3D Edit and View |
3 | Assembly Tree pane | Views and manages the structure of your 3D model parts. You can select, deselect, hide or show parts. |
4 | Properties pane | Shows properties of selected parts such as color or opacity. |
5 | Navigation Cube control | Rotates the camera to the preset directions by clicking on the cube or freely by dragging it around |
6 | Axis Triad control | Rotates the camera to the preset directions by double-clicking on the Triad (X, Y, Z) or freely by dragging it around |
7 | View bounds | Shows the bounding box of the scene where you can position the parts of interests. Parts that are shown outside of the bounds will not appear when it is placed in the main document. The View bounds and Page bounds are different. The View bounds is indicated as the blue frame. The Page bounds are indicated as the white rectangle like a page. |
8 | Viewport | Displays the scene of the 3D model that you manipulate. |
9 | Status bar | Displays some useful information, and lets you access to some Navigate commands. |
